Very dirty unsanitary conditions dog waste everywhere you walked the meet and greet area was mud and poop.

Now that I was ready, almost 3 yrs later, I came back to look for a dog to adopt. The staff at the shelter were so helpful & caring about their animals. I had a few specifics about weight & breed bc of the apt I live in & the type of dog to fit my personal needs. They certainly knew exactly which dog fit the bill. If they hadn't been so knowledgeable about their animals I would have never picked this dog based on his initial reaction when I was walking through the kennel. But, now as im bonding with him, it couldnt be a better match.

Common Sense is WONDERFUL. The people care so much about the animals, any animal & are so helpful. They save animals from kill shelters & genuinely care. I have nothing but good things to say & have had only great experiences. If you're thinking about adopting, this is the place to do it.

Great rescue shelter with tons of space for the animals and lots of choice. Staff are super friendly and care about those in their care

I brought my dog Angel there for her entire life. Dr. Blease is a WONDERFUL vet & cares so much for animals. Even when it was time to say goodbye, he was so kind, professional & gentle through the process, going above & beyond as he always does.

Probably the worst shelter around. It’s not clean and the people that work there are rude. I went in with my boyfriend a few weeks ago to adopt a kitten and when a lady was asked to help us by another worker she rolled her eyes and seemed aggravated. She was rude the whole time to me when I asked about the kittens health (to which the vet just told us they didn’t give us all the information we should’ve known). We got the kitten from there and noticed that almost, if not all of them had some sort of eye problem and they gave us an ointment cream to treat the issue. We brought him to the vet only to have to pay more for the expenses of the eye medication, and to top that off, our other cat has the eye infection severely now. It’s just sad how they have innocent animals in an unclean rude shelter like this one. And they didn’t even know which kitten was which so the lady just handed us a paper with a random name she picked out on it.

Plus, this shelter does not take care of their animals at all. While my boyfriend was adopting his cat there, he was told that the cat had a cold. However, it turns out he has an autoimmune disease and has to receive several steroid shots each year, which are not cheap. Two weeks after I adopted my cat, she also required a few hundred dollars worth of vet visits. As an animal lover, it breaks my heart to see such innocent animals in such poor conditions.

The WORST animal shelter I've ever been to. The employees are rude and completely unprofessional, as when I was adopting my cat they spent several minutes trying to determine if she was 7 months or 7 years old. I was also told she was up to date on all of her shots and spayed, hence the $200 I spent on her, but I never received proof of that.
